Michele A. Rea è Professore Ordinario di Economia aziendale (SECS P/07) presso il Dipartimento di Economia dell’Università degli Studi “Gabriele d’Annunzio” di Chieti-Pescara. E’ titolare delle cattedre di Ragioneria II e di Strategia e Politica Aziendale. Dal 2020, è Direttore del Dipartimento di Economia. E’ stato Presidente della Scuola delle Scienze Economiche, Aziendali, Giuridiche e Sociologiche dal 2017 al 2020. E' stato Direttore del Dipartimento di Economia dal 2014 al 2017. E’ stato Presidente del Corso di Laurea in Economia Aziendale dal 2017 al 2020, e Presidente del Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Economia Aziendale dal 2010 al 2014. Dal 2004 al 2008 è stato Componente del Nucleo di Valutazione dell’Ateneo. Dal 2006 al 2010 è stato Direttore del Dipartimento delle Scienze Aziendali, Statistiche, Tecnologiche ed Ambientali. Dal 2008 al 2011 è stato Componente del Senato Accademico in rappresentanza dei Direttori di Dipartimento. E’ stato di nuovo eletto Componente del Senato Accademico per il triennio 2012-2015 quale rappresentante dei professori ordinari ed associati di area Economica. E’ Socio ordinario dell’Accademia Italiana di Economia Aziendale (AIDEA) e della Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e di Economia Aziendale (SIDREA) . Ha svolto attività di coordinamento e docenza nell’ambito di numerose iniziative formative post diploma e post laurea organizzate da enti pubblici e privati. Svolge attività di ricerca sui temi attinenti il bilancio e le performance delle imprese; l’eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL); la rendicontazione e la gestione delle aziende nonprofit e pubbliche; la misurazione e rendicontazione del valore economico del volontariato; l’Environmental Management Accounting. E’ autore di numerosi libri e articoli pubblicati da autori nazionali ed internazionali sui temi sopra menzionati.

Michele A. Rea is full Professor of Business Administration and Accounting (SECS P/07) in the Department of economic studies (DEC) of the “G. d’Annunzio University” - Chieti-Pescara. He teaches in the classes of Financial reporting and Business strategies. Since 2020, he is Head of the Department of Economic Studies. He was the Head of the School of the Sciences of Economics, Business, Law and Sociology from 2017 to 2020. He was the Dean of the Bachelor degree in Business Administration (CLEA) from 2017 to 2020 and the Dean of the Master degree in Business Administration (CLEA-M) from 2010 to 2014. He was the Head of the Department of Economic Studies from 2014 to 2017. He was Member of the Audit Committee of the University from 2004 to 2008. He was the Head of the Department of Business, Statistical, Technological and Environmental Sciences (DASTA) from 2006 to 2009. He was also Member of the Academic Senate as representative of the Department Heads from 2008 to 2011. In 2012 he was again elected as Member of the Academic Senate as representative of the associate and full professors in the economic fields. He is ordinary Member both of AIDEA (The Italian Academy of Management) and of SIDREA (The Italian Association of the professors of Business Administration and Accounting). He participated as coordinator or teacher, in private and public educational initiatives (masters, post-graduates courses, etc.). He does research on the topics of financial accounting and performance measurement; eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL); public and nonprofit management; measurement and accountability of volunteer work; Environmental Management Accounting. He is author of several books and papers published with national and international editors on the topics mentioned above.
